ACCOUNT HELP
How do I create an account?
To create a new account, simply click on the Log In link at the top right of the screen (you will also use this to login in the future). Click on the Create new account tab and enter your information. You will receive an email with your password and a link to sign in for the first time. Follow these simple instructions to start ordering. Alternatively, if you try to add a magazine to your cart, you will be prompted to create a new account.
How do I find my password?
You will receive your password in a welcome email which will also explain how to log in for the first time. We recommend changing the system password to something you can easily remember. Please see below for instructions on changing your password.
Can I change my password?
We realize the default password issued to you by the system may not be easy to remember. If you would like to change your password to something you can remember easily, complete the following steps.
1. Log in to the system using your current password.
2. In the upper right hand corner, click on the “My Account” link.
3. Once in your account, click on the “Edit” tab.
4. The system default is to load your settings. You should see your email address and directly below, you will see two password boxes.
5. To change your current password, simply type the password you desire in both boxes. Please remember that passwords are case sensitive and for your protection, we recommend a password 6-14 characters in length using a combination letters and numbers.
How do I log out?
You can log out of the site by clicking on the Log Out link in the top right corner of any page. We highly recommend logging out at the end of each session, especially if you are on a public computer. We cannot be held responsible for the integrity of your personal information if you fail to log out.
What if I forgot my password?
If you forget your password, click on the Log In link at the top of the page. Click on the Request new password tab and enter the email address you used to sign up. A new password will be sent to this address.
Can I change the email address on my account?
Yes, you can change your email from your account page. Simply click on the edit tab of your account page, enter the new email in the proper boxes, and click “Submit” at the bottom of the screen.
How can I view my account history?
You can view your account history any time by clicking on the My Account link at the top of any page. You must be logged in to use this feature.
ORDERING HELP
Can I enter more than one shipping address?
Yes, you can enter as many shipping addresses as you wish. This makes it easy for you to ship to a home or business address, or even send a gift subscription.
What are my payment options?
We currently offer two forms of secured payments, Google Checkout and PayPal. You can pay through either option with a credit or debit card. We are unable to accept other forms of payments at this time. To learn more about either of these two options, please visit paypal.com or google.com/checkout
Will you store my credit card information?
No, you will never be asked to enter your credit card information through our system. All payments are processed through secure payment portals (PayPal and Google Checkout).
How do I check out?
To check out, click on the Cart link at the top of any page. Once you have verified everything in your cart is correct, click the Checkout button below your current selections. On the next pages, you will be able to enter your billing and shipping information. Once you have reviewed your order and selected a payment option, you will be redirected to a secure portal to complete your payment information.
How do I check the status of an order?
You can check the status of your order from your account page. Simply log in to your account and click on the status tab. You will be able to see all of the orders you have placed along with their statuses from there.
Can I cancel an order?
We allow customers to cancel an order within 3 days, no questions asked. If it has been more than 3 days since you placed your order, we may not be able to cancel. Please contact us at info@magazineera.com so we can evaluate your options.
How do I remove a magazine from my shopping cart?
To remove an item from your shopping cart, simply check box next to the magazine you wish to remove and then click on the Update cart button. The screen will refresh and the selection will no longer be in your cart.
How can I receive more than one copy of the same magazine?
If you wish to receive multiple copies of the same magazine, change the quantity in your shopping cart next to the correct selection. Click the Update cart button and the screen will refresh to show you your new total.
GENERAL HELP
When will I receive my first issue?
You can expect to receive your first issue within 4-12 weeks depending on the distribution cycle. Since most publishers use a mail processing service to print the labels for each month’s mailing, it is possible your order will not be processed until the next run of labels. In addition, most magazines are printed weeks in advance and are only printed in quantities to meet current subscriptions. Because of this practice, the magazine industry has set a standard lead tine of 4 to 8 weeks to begin receiving weekly subscriptions and 8 to 12 weeks to begin receiving monthly and quarterly subscriptions. Naturally, these lead times vary from publisher to publisher. An important note; most monthly magazines arrive during the second week of each month for the coming month, i.e. second week of March for the April issue.
How many magazines do you offer?
Currently, Magazine Era offers over 1,500 magazines to choose from. New titles are added weekly so check back often if you cannot find a specific title.
